General guidelines for EHA Events
Number of attendies:
Number of attendies for each event or event type can be limited. There can be different reasons for limitations, f.ex. capacity of the venues, number of available coaches etc. Limitations can also be set by the program of different events, f.ex.: events of type ‘International Trip A+/AA+/AAA’ are explicitly arranged with purpose to attend specific tournaments, or play specific games. And it means, that number of attendies is limited to number of players and goalies within the team (or teams) attending such tournament or playing such a game.
Attendies of each event are divided into one or more groups (or teams). The group is always limited to max. 20 players and 3 goalies, but it can be less by specific event. Number of players in the group is furthermore limited by available number of coaches so, that there is always max. 5 players per coach on the ice.
If there are goalies in the group, at least 1 goalie coach must be available to them only. (This does not apply for events of type ‘International Trip A+/AA+/AAA’.)
Generally, only members of European Hockey Academy association may attend EHA events.
Program and Practice units:
Event’s program is divided into 2 types: development program and additional program. Base event program unit is 1 day.
Development program consists of practice units, other development activities, lunch and snacks. Practice units are divided by type into: practice on the ice and off-ice practice. Generally, there are 2 practice units on the ice and 2 off-ice practice units within 1 day of the program. Depending on event’s duration and type can this be adjusted for some of the days.
Duration of practice unit on the ice is 90 minutes and off-ice practice units is 60 minutes.
Among other development activities belongs f.e. theory, video analysis etc.
Additional program of the event can consist of transportation, accommodation, breakfast, dinner, entertainment etc. Additional program is usually offered as a part of additional service, which the attendee can decide to participate on and purchase on top of the development program.
Please note, that supervision of minor attendees within additional program is not a part of any additional service, unless specified otherwise for particular event or agreed individually for particular attendee.
