(H) Goalie in EHA

Goalie is an indispensable part of each ice hockey team. And of course – goalies have their solid place within EHA’s development program.

Goalies in EHA

Conditions for goalies in European Hockey Academy are generally the same as for players, except some natural specials. All goalie specials are described in detail within EHA’s development program guidelines. Find most important ones below.

Selected goalie specials within EHA’s development program

Number of attendies of EHA Events:
Events are one of the key elements of our development program. Max. number of allowed goalies in the group is limited to 3. For specific events or event types can this number be even lower, f.eks.: As events of type ‘International Trip A+/AA+/AAA’ are explicitly arranged with purpose to attend specific tournaments, or play specific games, max. number of goalies is usually 2, where there is a first goalie and second goalie of the team.

Evaluation, Skill categories & Ratings:
Parameters evaluated by goalies are different from players, though still generally following guidelines of ‘Minor Hockey Development Guide’ of Hockey Canada. Skill categories and ratings scale remains the same for goalies and players.

Events’ registration fees, Prices and Bonuses:
We in European Hockey Academy are aware of, that overall costs for the goalie are, in most cases, higher than by player (equipment). Furthermore, it is not the easiest task to find a goalie with certain skills level within EHA’s Age groups. That’s why the registration fee for different events can be adjusted specially for goalies. However, the Rating bonuses remains the same as by players and apply to final base registration fee valid for the goalie.

You can read more about valid prices in section ‘Prices & Bonuses’.
