Highlight of the program on Wednesday, December 20th 2017, during International Trip A+ event of EHA, was definitelly traditional rating ceremony. The ceremony, where ratings achieved by attending players within development program was announced and where new players, who completed they Try-out within ongoing event was welcomed in the program and the team.
Time for fun, time for play…
Wednesday was that day in the event’s program, when players could get off the bed little later in the morning. There was no practice on ice that day and additional program started first 9 o’clock. Additional program was, among other things, related to peaking U13 tournament of Christmas Cup 2017 and in this regards EHA players visited one of its semifinal games.

But watching someone else to play ice hockey – or to do anything actually – is not the most exciting activity for ice hockey players in age of around 12, right? That’s why the next stop, after visiting the game, was Laser Arena in Most. And here – boys devided into 3 groups – started the real shooting madness, where the “Danish snipers” (as one of the groups was called) were victorious… 🙂 As we found out – the laser game was especially exciting for our german players – shooting for team “Rest of the World”, as in Germany it is not allowed to play laser games for kids under 14 years of age. What can we say – different places, different rules…

The ceremony – first EHA’s commemorative ‘AAA’ plaquettes awarded
Lounge in Restaurant Švejk in Most was just exactly large enough to room all the players and their accompaniment for lunch followed by rating ceremony. The ceremony, where all players was welcomed to the team, which represented EHA on followed U14 tournament of Christmas Cup 2017, and where ratings achieved by attending players within previous events was announced. These players was presented for new jerseys marked by their new rating on this occasion.
The special by this ceremony, compared to previous ones was, that it was for the first time ever, that there was players presented for jersey marked by ‘AAA’ rating – the highest achievable rating within EHA’s development program. Players, who achieve the ‘AAA’ rating within EHA’s development program does not only receive the ‘AAA’ market jersey, but are also awarded by unequally molded personal commemorative plaque – and it was an honor to award first EHA player with such a plaque within this ceremony.
But as the saying goes: “One picture says more than 1000 words” – so here are some pictures:
Unfortunatelly, some of the players did not attend the ceremony, as they first arrived to Most later in evening and was presented for their jerseys, or awards next day. That is why it is not possible to see them on pictures above. The missing players are:
Mai Crnkic – presented for ‘A’ rating jersey,
Borna Kopač – presented for ‘AA’ rating jersey,
Urban Podrekar – presented for ‘AAA’ rating jersey and awarded by EHA’s commemorative ‘AAA’ plaque and
Santeen Golja – presented for ‘AAA’ rating jersey and awarded by EHA’s commemorative ‘AAA’ plaque.
The last thing regarding this ceremony is, may be, only to thank to Mr.Zdeněk Tureček, owner of Restaurant Švejk and all its personel for housing this little ceremony of ours as well as for preparing meals for us during whole event. Thanks.
Friendly game in Dresden cancelled
Program of the day should continue by app. 120 km long trip to Dresden in Germany, where the friendly game against Dresdner Eislöwen (U14) was scheduled at 18:00 o’clock. Unfortunatelly, Dresdner Eislöwen team has cancelled the game “last minute” – only couple of days before the gameday and it was not possible to find alternative opponent.
However – when we look back – to miss the trip to Dresden with planned return at app. 23:00 o’clock was probably best anyway, because this way, kids could go to bed earlier and get a good night sleep before coming tournament, starting next day… But more about that in another article. 🙂
