More than 120 players played 29 games while scoring more than 370 goals…
That would be a description of the European Hockey Academy’s Southside Hockey Games program in numbers. The program was introduced in 2019 and forced to break by the global pandemic returned again in past season 2023/24. This was also the first season that the program has been offered in cooperation with our member association in Sweden – Southside Skolidrottsförening.
In the past season we played games only in ‘PeeWee division’ – for players born in 2012 and younger. We adopted this USA Hockey’s pre-2016 youth hockey age groups determination as it can’t be denied the charm as well as nostalgic. Hopefully you agree… 🙂
Southside Hockey Games program will continue in ‘PeeWee division’ in the season 2024/25 as well and we also have ambition to open the ‘Squirt division’ for players born in 2014 and younger.
