(H) Prices & Bonuses

On this page, you can, among others, find information about:
– Pricing of different products within EHA’s development program.
– Bonuses applying to different products and prices
– Force majeure and Cancellation rules

Currencies
All prices, fees or other amounts are shown or calculated from EUR, which is considered the main currency in EHA. If there is given possibility to pay in other currency than EUR, the amount is calculated by current exchange rates of commercial bank institutions inclusive evt. fees etc. Final amount in other currencies is always rounded up to nearest 10 or 50, depending on currency.

EHA Events

Events are one of the main products of European Hockey Academy and the registration fee for event as well as possible other costs are always published specifically for each event. But there are many other regulations, such as bonuses, discounts, cancellation rules etc, which at the last end affect the effective costs for each member, or player individually. That is why the final Member’s registration fee is communicated privat (email etc.) to each member. However, the calculation methods and rules are the same for all EHA members and are transparent. So if you want to know more and find some answers for your possible questions, continue this, may be boring reading.

All Event unit prices, fees and bonuses are generally fixed for at least one season and you can find all valid prices, fees and bonuses in tables below. If not specified otherwise, all prices and fees are for event’s base unit, which is 1 day. To see, what is included in the price or fee, please see the explanatory notes.

Another basic policy in European Hockey Academy is to make participation in the development program as affordable as possible. Additionally, it is one of our principles, that as more each player works and as better he or she is as cheaper it is for him or her to participate in the program. Information below will help you to understand, how different fees and prices are calculated.

Registration to EHA Event is binding and any paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ is generally not refundable. However, the situations may occur, where this rule is dropped, altogether or partially. Paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ is always refunded in full, if the Event for any reason doesn’t take place. Other situations, where whole or partial refunding is possible, as well as forms of refunding are described in section ‘Cancellation fee’ below.

Explanatory notes to prices, fees, bonuses and discounts, or ‘What is what’:

Base price for 1 day:
Break even price budgeted per event’s attendee to cover budgeted variable costs as well as over heads of 1 day of program within planned events. Price is budgeted with regards to all limitations and requirements within ‘General guidelines for EHA Events’.

‘Base price for 1 day’ and all fees calculated out from it includes only elements of development program. Which are the elements of development program included, and what is additional program not included in mentioned prices and fees is described within ‘General guidelines for EHA Events’ and that’s why we recommend to read it carefully.

Base member’s fee for 1 day (pay-per-event, main method):
This fee is actually that part of ‘Base price for 1 day’ described above, which is paid by event’s attendees themselves. Generally, it is the base for calculation of ‘Standard registration fee’ for participation in each event. ‘Standard registration fee’ is generally calculated as multiplication of ‘Base member’s fee for 1 day’ and event’s full duration in days. ‘Standard registration fee’ is always used as base for calculation of individual member related bonuses or discounts.

‘Standard registration fee’ and calculation method above is referred to as main method. It means, that unless the alternative method is allowed by particular player (or player group) and event (or event type), the ‘Standard registration fee’ and main method applies and is used for calculation of ‘Member’s registration fee’. If alternative method is allowed, player self decides, which method he (or she) prefers, though the decision has to be made before deadline for registration to particular event. To change the method during event is only possible from alternative to main method, and not other way around.

Alternative member’s fee for 1 day (pay-per-day, alternative method):
This fee, if alternative method available and chosen by player, is used to calculate ‘Member’s registration fee’ for particular event. Player has to decide, if he (or she) will use alternative method and, in such case, also number of days in which he (or she) will attend the event, before deadline for registration to particular event.

‘A’, ‘AA’ or ‘AAA’ rating bonus:
EHA’s principle, that as more the player works and as better he (or she) is as cheaper it is for him (or her) to participate in our development program is implemented through so called ‘rating bonuses’.

Bonus is calculated as player’s rating bonus rate of ‘Standard registration fee’ for attended event (pay-per-event, main method), or as player’s rating bonus rate of a part of ‘Standard registration fee’ corresponding to the number of days for which he (or she) registered to the event (pay-per-day, alternative method). Basis for calculation is player’s rating at the time of entering the event. Additionally, player is only entitled to rating bonus, if he (or she) completes the event with the same or higher rating as he (or she) entered it with.

Achieved rating bonus is cumulative and is redeemable – either whole or partial – only by participation in another event latest within one year from last attended one, or by purchase of other EHA’s products or services where this possibility is explicitly specified within same period. Highest redeemable amount of cumulated rating bonus is equal to player’s actually payable ‘Member’s registration fee’; or total price of other eligible EHA’s products or services purchased.

Goalie discount:
Registration fee for different events can be specially adjusted for goalies. Adjustment is in such cases made by specially, per event approved ‘Goalie discount’, which applies to ‘Base member’s fee for 1 day (pay-per-event, main method)’, or ‘Alternative member’s fee for 1 day (pay-per-day, alternative method)’ and then implicitly to all fees calculated from one of those.

Other special discounts:
EHA members can achieve other special discounts, also referred to as ‘Other cumulated cash discounts’. If you are the member of EHA association and want to know more about these discounts, please Contact us and we will provide more detailed information hereabout.

Member’s registration fee:
This is the player’s registration fee for participation in particular event actually paid by player. If not specified otherwise, whole ‘Member’s registration fee’ is payable latest at deadline for registration to particular event.

By pay-per-event, main method, the ‘Member’s registration fee’ is calculated as: ‘Standard registration fee’ minus ‘Redeemable cumulated rating bonus’ minus (if applicable) ‘Other cumulated cash discounts’.

By pay-per-day, alternative method, the ‘Member’s registration fee’ is calculated as: ‘Alternative member’s fee for 1 day’ multiplied by ‘number of days’ minus ‘Redeemable cumulated rating bonus’ minus (if applicable) ‘Other cumulated cash discounts’.

> ‘Prices & Bonuses’ overview.

Effective member’s registration fee:
This fee is mostly used for calculation purposes. ‘Effective member’s registration fee’ is actually ‘Standard registration fee’ for attended event (pay-per-event, main method), or ‘Alternative member’s fee for 1 day’ multiplied by ‘number of days’ for which he (or she) registered to the event (pay-per-day, alternative method); reduced by achievable rating bonus on particular event and/or other for particular event applicable discounts.

> ‘Prices & Bonuses’ overview.

Cancellation fee:
If the player registered for event (or its part, if alternative, pay-per-day method allowed) and paid corresponding ‘Member’s registration fee’, but does not attend such event – either whole or partial – paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ or its part is not refundable, except situations described below:

If force majeure situation, which prevent the player to attend the event, occurs before this event takes place, there are 2 options available:
1. To find replacement, another EHA member, who complies to event’s requirements and is entitled to participate on the event. In this case, whole paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ is used to cover the ‘Member’s registration fee’ of the new attendee – even whole or partially.
2. Paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ is reduced by valid Cancellation fee rate and transferred to member’s internal account. It can then be used to cover – even whole or partially – any player’s future payable ‘Member’s registration fee’; or total price of other eligible EHA’s products or services purchased, though both within period of one year calculated from end date of the event, which paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ belongs to.

If player registers by pay-per-event (main) method to the event, which allows pay-per-day (alternative) method too, ‘Cancellation fee’ is charged for the days, player does not attend the event – either whole or partially. Charged ‘Cancellation fee’ is calculated as ‘Cancellation fee’ rate of ‘Effective member’s registration fee’ corresponding to the days, the player does not attend the event. Paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ corresponding to same days and reduced by calculated ‘Cancellation fee’ is transferred to member’s internal account. It can then be used to cover – even whole or partially – any player’s future payable ‘Member’s registration fee’; or total price of other eligible EHA’s products or services purchased, though both within period of one year calculated from end date of the event, which paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ belongs to.

Paid ‘Member’s registration fee’ or any of its part is never refundable, if player is excluded from corresponding event because of any violation of ‘EHA’s Code of Conduct’.
